Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina has the most expansive and cutting-edge fully Coast-Guard-equipped boat rental flotilla in the area. You could rent a 20-foot Grady White powerboat or a personal canoe for the day. Sign up for a guided eco-tour to Larry’s Lagoon or explore the waters near Sanibel Island on a guided tour.

If you’d like to rent a double or single canoe or kayak, you can rent one every day from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Reservations are an option for groups of 10 people or more. Paddleboards are available as well for you to take with you on one of our rental boats.

Dry Boat Storage in Fort Myers

Port Sanibel Marina’s three buildings dedicated to dry boat storage help set it apart from the competition. The marina can house up to 121 boats that are up to 34 feet. Storage facilities also include trailer storage and a launching facility.

There is a new state-of-the-art Wiggins forklift with an 18,000-pound lifting capacity that moves boats in and out with ease. This type of boat storage is critical because its job is to help make sure the finish and exposed upholstery of your boat looks as good as new for years to come.

Boat Delivery to your Unit

Port Sanibel Marina is also happy to deliver a weekly rental boat to your vacation rental property for a fee. Port Sanibel Marina is home to the biggest and newest fully Coast-Guard-equipped fleet in the Southwest Florida region.

Marina Docking

If you’d like to dock your vessel, the marina has 104 stationary docks that have finger piers and tie-off pilings. The marina’s staff monitors VHF Channel #16 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Florida Nature Trail

One of our favorite things about the nature trail is that it was carefully constructed so as not to impact the natural mangrove habitat. If you’re curious about the native birds, plants, fish and wildlife in the area, you can learn about it on the Port Sanibel Marina mile-long nature trail.

The 30- to 45-minute nature trail features a canopy provided by the mangrove trees and other fauna in the forest, providing a quiet, shady walk through a bit of old Florida.

Fort Myers Kayaking Trail

If kayaking is more your style or if it’s just something you’ve always wanted to try, there is a kayak trail that begins at Port Sanibel Marina and winds through the mangroves offering a chance to see manatees, dolphins, and other sea life in their natural habitat. Rental Boundaries: You can cruise in your rental boat along the Intracoastal Waterway, as far as the north tip of Cayo Costa, in the Caloosahatchee River, as far as the Fort Myers Yacht Basin, and the Back Bay on the Estero River, stopping at Lovers Key.

Delivery Fee

The marina will go a little farther to deliver your watercraft for a $200 round-trip charge or a $100 charge each way to bring your rental to the outer islands of Sanibel and Captiva.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your rental, Port Sanibel Marina requires 72 hours’ notice for a deposit refund.
